Sarah:
Sarah Liliana Cardenas graduated from Washington State University, Honors College 2016, with a B.A. in Apparel Merchandising Design & Textiles. Sarah says:
"I painted "Time to fly" because I think some birds aren't meant to be caged, their feathers are just too bright; And "Resilient" because I made it this far despite all the troubles and difficulties I encountered as a first generation Hispanic college student."
Rikki:
Rikki Byrd graduated from Parsons The New School for Design 2016, with an M.A. in Fashion Studies. She is such an exceptional person, that she was chosen to speak on behalf of her department. She is moving back to St. Louis, Missouri to and spread her culture and the arts movement.
Pedro:
Pedro Angel graduated from CUNY Hostos Community College, 2016, with an A.A.S. in Digital Design and Animation. This man right here is living breathing proof that any roadblocks that one comes across can be abolished with hard work and determination. I am absolutely proud of him.
I am looking forward to watching all of these incredible people continue to grow and can't wait to see what they have in store for us.
